Meet Tina
I’m a 39 year young woman who enjoys staying home with my soul-mate of 18 years now, Brian, and our 2 American Bulldogs, Rocky and Vixen. I stay at home full time these days due to my back injury that occurred in March of 2006. I’m disabled because of the 3 herniated disc in my lower back and the Sciatica that came along with them. I really love being at home all the time but I sure do miss the money I made. Brian is a self-employed Painter and Handyman who has one employee, his brother, Jeff! Jeff lives with us also. He makes pretty good money and manages to keep the bills paid. My typical day goes like this…I wake up whenever, fix me an appetizer shake and eat my cookie. I also take my VitaOne with my shot of Limu Plus every morning and so far without doing any exercise at all I’ve now lost 12 pounds. I gained a lot of weight when I couldn’t work anymore! I got depressed for a while too. So, after that I take care of the dogs, feed them and give them fresh water, play with them for a while then I turn my computer on and that’s where I’m at for the rest of the day! I answer my email first, then pick a social networking site that I want to work for the day, maybe call some prospects who have downloaded my free ebook “Success in 10 Steps” and follow up from there. I also like to read personal development books, listen to audios, garden, I grow beautiful flowers and houseplants. I have 3 children, 2 sons, Roger who is 23 and just graduated College at Vance-Granville, William, who is 19 and lives with his father in North Carolina and then we have Jessica who is our 16 year old daughter. She lives in North Carolina with her Aunt also. I’m originally from North Carolina also. I was born and partially raised there. Brian is too. In fact that’s where we met and lived for a long time. We moved to Virginia 4 years ago to be close to Brian’s mother and have made a home here. I really like it here now. I also have a mother and a sister who lives in North Carolina. We see each other about 2-3 times a year and that’s cool with me.
My first job was at a Hardee’s when I was 17 years old and I absolutely HATED it! I was young and wanted to be out with my friends partying and having fun. I knew right away that the fast food scene was not for me! I only lasted about a month there. I then moved on to a series of fast food joints before I got my first construction job as a plumbers helper. I LOVED it!! I could tear stuff up, get dirty, put stuff back together, wear my jeans and t-shirts, show my tattoo’s and cuss! I was in heaven! I worked as a plumbers helper for a couple of years, then did framing and finally found Electrical work. That was my thing! I was born to be an Electrician and I picked the trade up real fast and was wiring my own houses within 6 months with my own crew, my own company vehicle and my own jobs. I started making real good money and started school to get my License then we moved to Virginia. I found a job here right away but with a big pay cut! So… I literally had to start all over again when we moved here. I was working with Bon Air Electric here in Richmond when the accident happened. I was helping to load the van after I had completed a house when my back just gave out and there was an awful “pop” in the lower part of my back.
That was it! I went to the hospital and then stayed home for 3 weeks. I returned to work under light duty and was fired after 3 more weeks. I was fired because of the workmans comp. claim that I filed but that wasn’t the reason they gave the hearings officer when it went to court. I’m now waiting for my SSI benefits to come through from Social Security. I’m very grateful and thankful that I have such a wonderful wonderful husband to care for me.
The most important thing to me about work- any work is TEAM WORK! It takes a team of people to wire a house, as it does to lay the foundation, or build a house and install the plumbing. If theres no team then the work usually don’t get done!
I’ve always been good working with my hands. I can make and build stuff. I grow a pretty garden too.
I love to read, eat ice cream and play with my dogs. I also love to be alone with Brian. I like to go for long rides in the country too. I collect things..like rocks, different figurines of dragons, tiny animals made and carved from stone and wood, books and butterflies.
I’m not really sure why I choose Network Marketing. At first it was just to see if I could make some extra money with my brand-new computer. Now I choose Network Marketing for the people I have met and the support and caring and concern that they have shown others and myself as well. I really feel like this is where my whole life has been heading. I’ve learned so much about myself and this amazing business as well.
I was in Ameriplan first and my biggest impression was the weekly meetings that I attended and seeing everyone else being successful. I thought that the Dental and Medical plans were something that people really needed and I could see myself making a lot of money. I never sold one plan!
I was in Herbalife next and I joined that because it was a name that I had heard before and I formed a neat relationship with my sponsors who were always there when I called or needed anything and were just really cool people. I loved the products and was my own best customer… I never sold one product to anyone else!
I was in Nutronix, AutomaticBuilder and The Berry Tree next. I joined this for the low start up cost and the free product but what made the most impression was again my sponsor. He was really nice and was always there to help. He bought leads for me and really tried to get things going. We would talk on the phone a lot and he would always answer any questions I had or find the answers for me.
I was also in Profit Wildfire for a very short time. I joined this because I was desperate and couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t make this happen and they promised to help me get my business going while creating multiple streams of income from places like Global Domains International, Success University and so on…what they didn’t tell me was that I would have to join all these organizations individually and be a paid member in order to have any success at it. When I figured up my monthly cost and followed the steps like it was suggested it was going to cost me over $200 a month plus my auto-ship and web-site fees for Nutronix and The Berry Tree, a total cost of almost $500 a month! Something good did come of that though…It was through Profit Wildfire that I ended up on DirectMatches and met the dude who talked me into downloading the Success in 10 Steps free Ebook and actually read it!
I had previously downloaded the ebook a few months earlier and had never opened and read it. It was still on my computer!
My 2 biggest problems in Network Marketing have been finding leads that really wanted to build a business and money! I was never trained or had any skills on how to have a successful business, how to get it started or how to find highly responsive leads. I thought I was supposed to buy leads or make a list of family and friends. Buying leads was a problem because I had little or no money and I really didn’t have a clue as to how to find them on the Internet . I put out classified ads and did all the traffic exchanges but never found one lead that joined me or wanted to build a business. Making a list of family and friends didn’t work for me because I couldn’t even get them to look at what I had and often they had little or no money either! I did get my sister to join Nutronix, Automatic-Builder with me and then she dropped out after a month.
It’s important for me to succeed because I’ve NEVER saved one penny of money, I have NO retirement fund, I’m disabled and unable to do the only thing I have ever gotten paid any real money for! but….
The most important reasons are I have dreams…I want to travel, I want to go to Jamaica, The Grand Canyon, Sturgis Bike Week in the Black Hills of South Dakota on the back of Brian’s new Harley Davidson. I want to go to Disney World and New Mexico, Alaska, Australia, and Paris. I want to go on an MLM cruise! I want to be at every company event and annual convention. I want to build my dream home on about 20 acres of land in the country, a log and stone home with a spiral staircase up to my loft bedroom that has floor to ceiling windows that open out to a balcony that goes all the way around the bedroom on 3 sides. There’s a huge saltwater aquarium that takes up one whole wall in the family room, a fireplace and I have trailing vines that grow along the rafters over the family room from my bedroom that are fed sunlight through the skylights, the cabin sits under my river birch and willow trees with a long winding drive-way from the road, and I can’t see my neighbors. Plasma big screen TV, laptop computer, and all the other cool little stuff that I can’t afford right now. I want to drive my dream car…. a red, convertible, Nissan 350Z! I want to ride my horses any time I want to, all day long if I want! I don’t ever want to have to worry about having the money to pay another bill, be in debt and have to screen my calls to avoid debt collectors. I don’t want to have to budget my money to make sure the most important bills are paid first! I want to make sure my mother is taken care of as she gets older. I want to leave an inheritance for my children! I want to experience life and live it on my own terms!
The thing I want more than money is security! I don’t want to have to worry about unpaid bills, late notices and eviction papers or the cars being repossessed. I feel most fulfilled when I have helped someone and they Thank me for it. That makes me feel needed, smart and very good about myself.
It has always been my dream to have that log and stone home that I told you about with all the other stuff too. I just want to work when I want to and with who I want to work with. I want to help other people who were once where I have been and I want to live a good simple life with Brian, doing all the things we want to do at exactly when we want to do them, my dream is freedom!
The colors training has helped me tremendously, not only in Mentoring for Free and coaching the people who have downloaded my ebook but in my personal life as well. I now understand why I am so disorganized, scattered and the reason I start 100 things a day and only finish 1 or 2 if I’m lucky. I’m a blue. I now know that my main concern is to learn how to focus, finish what I start, stay organized and on the Mental Cleanse!
I started taking a look at the people closest to me and practicing on seeing their color. I discovered that my Soul-mate of 18 years, Brian, who is all about the money and could never get along with any one he ever worked for, and would not and will not listen to or even acknowledge any advice that I have ever tried to give him and does NOT like to talk about anything…unless it’s money 
is a flaming RED! My brother-in-law whom I used to get so mad at because I always felt that he let other people take advantage of his kindness and good will is a Yellow, yep! He’ll give you the shirt off his back and spend his very last dollar on you. I can usually identify someones color very quickly now that I have been doing this for a little while. It’s fun, and I do it automatically most of the time.
I practice my self talk at least one or twice a day…I know, I know! I’m slack on that at times and I really need to do a lot better. I’ve changed it a lot and right now it’s;
“I will sponsor 1 new person per week into my Vitamark business and have 300 points of retail sales! I will be receiving $573.00 a week, or better, before the 2008 Vitamark convention. I provide access to the BEST health, wellness and weight loss products in the market, give monthly to the World Wildlife and Nature Conservancy funds and I coach and mentor others for FREE! I do this by having fun building my Vitamark business, easily and consistently, through education and teamwork. It is the LARGEST, most PROFITABLE, highest RETENTION organization in the HISTORY of network marketing! I deserve this..so PLEASE bring this to me or something better!”
The leads calls done at 8pmEST Monday through Thursday with Michael are awesome! It was on those calls that I really learned how to identify the different personalities and the combination of colors that each person has. I used to have a hard time with some of the peoples colors and especially when they had two strong colors. On the calls being allowed to interact live and ask questions was a big help and that’s how I really got it and finally understood how we each are a rainbow of all the colors but have one primary color that stands out. For instance I learned that I am 55% Blue, 25% Green, 15% Yellow and 5% Red.
Through Mentoring for Free I’ve learned to read the Policies and Procedures of a Network Marketing company, the Compensation Plan and so much more! One of my first lessons was to hang on to my credit card number until I was sure about what I was looking at. Now I can do the research myself and I get so much more out of that. I finally found out about what a “5 Pillars” company was and found an excellent one to join. I’ve learned so much from this training and Mentoring for Free. I know that I still have a lot to learn but I am well on my way to being a great mentor myself.
I now help others to learn the necessary skills and get the training that they need to be successful in any business. I like to help people and it makes me feel really good when people thank me for helping them. I have no agenda when helping anyone and will do anything I can within reason to be of assistance to anyone at any time. My mentoring is very satisfying to me not only because I’m helping someone else but I’m learning also and the best way to learn something is to teach it!
MY “WHY”
I desire the time and financial freedom I want to be able to set my bills on auto-pay, take vacations to anywhere I want to go, and go when I want to go!
I desire to help others in order to feel good about myself and what I do!
I desire the time to spend freely with my family doing things fun and exciting, being together and talking.
I desire the things I want in order to be comfortable, the dream home and dream car! The business that will be there for my children to retire on!
I see a wonderful future in sight for myself. There are so many things I want to see and do. The things I want to experience with those I love and who love me in return. I see myself being happy and comfortable with all the things I could ever hope for. I see myself being a great leader whom people call on for help and me giving my help with absolutely NO agenda what so ever! I see “BELIEF” in myself growing day by day as my business grows along with it. I see my team of leaders that I have coached and mentored standing by my side as we are congratulated on our achievements. The Largest, most profitable, highest retention organization in the history of network marketing! Easily and consistently through education and teamwork!
