Are You “In” or Are You “Out” With Your Network Marketing or MLM Company?

In Network Marketing or MLM’s most people are on their way “in” or on their way “out.”  Did you place your trust with those schmoozing you to join them, then end up “out” the door, out of money and just another statistic, cast off because the system didn’t work?

I’ve been there too.  I’ve turned off the TV, the news in particular because I’ve learned recently that although you can be informed on current events, mostly it reports the misbehavior of mankind.  How can that possibly enhance my life, my business?  The same applies when I surfed the internet looking for answers to why my business failed.  I’d run into people behaving badly and wonder how am I going to benefit from that?

Watching my daughters struggle as they grow and mature, I caution them that although life is new to them, they didn’t invent it.  The perils and falsehoods of my youth are no different than theirs; it’s just wrapped in different packaging.  No matter how sophisticated our newest generation is or claims to be, the simplicity of genuineness, honesty, integrity, still exists and should be sought.

My daughters are exposed to the dark side of humanity every day.  I experience this through the stories they tell.  I hear about vicious rumors being spread, malicious lies or actions their peers relate or actually do to each other; well you get the picture.  It can be a huge struggle to be true to themselves if they’re not considered “in” with the popular crowd.  My daughters point out who’s popular and tell me about their questionable behavior.  Mostly, it sounds like somebody taught them to tread on others in order to excel, to be “in.” Is that what makes them popular or attractive to others?  The fact that their actions would be news worthy? I know for a fact there are genuine people amongst the masses, those I would encourage my girls to surround themselves with, but their stories don’t ever make the front page.

I’ve mentored my girls to treat everyone as they would wish to be treated.  Some of the most amazing friendships and partnerships lie in the quietness of those standing on the outskirts of the popular group.  It’s not the flashy clothes, cars, the money they throw around that make them more special than any one else.  It’s not the promises made to let you “in” with their crowd, because it’s almost a guarantee you’ll be “out” as soon as you pay.  No, the power they appear to have is false, fueled by those hypnotized by their own desires to have what the “In Crowd” has.

Turn that spotlight off, set yourself “out” of the “in” crowd and see if the company and the people measure up to your expectations.  Are you going to be able to duplicate their system?  Is the compensation plan upfront and understandable without hidden agenda?  Is there a good product you would wish to represent?

When you’re looking for a company or group to join, see past the flash or popularity and really investigate the heart and intentions of those doing offering.   The packaging may be changed, but the foundation of the Company must be able to endure allowing you to stay “in” long term and not “out.”

DID I STUTTER ????
by Laurie  Hiltz
Admittedly, I came into Network Marketing as an emotional buy, a term I learned later down the road.  Having recently been laid off, unjustly, maybe, I cant decide if I’m being nice here or not, I had the, “I’ll show you,” attitude.  I’ll take my expertise and experience and do what I’ve been praying to do for years.  I’m going to, Be My Own Boss!
There had to be a way I could utilize the vast Internet to start a business and call the shots.  Do what I wanted to do.  Already having tested the waters while still working I determined I needed help.  I didn’t know it at the time but I needed a Mentor, a Coach, because having bought into a program for a nominal fee I had to feel my way around the Internet and learn on my own.  I floundered and didn’t see this experience as any different than my former job.  I was supposed to sell someone else’s product(s) and frankly, I didn’t know them from Adam.
I still needed income, so I googled all the familiar job sites to see what I qualified for just in case.  Hey, what’s this work from home?  Free info if I paid the shipping and handling?  A pittance compared to the advertisement that says I’ll be up and running in no time, with an entire team of support!  Forget the fine print that said there would be an additional cost after the “trial” period ended for this “free” info.  That didn’t matter because a very nice person contacted me and went through the entire business of my dreams.  Really?
Well, sure, I’ve heard of that product before, I know they’ve been around so how can I lose?  Everybody knows a new business requires start up costs and this is just a drop in the bucket compared to all the other business out there. Really?  (This is the part where I say I was an emotional buyer).  I was told if I didn’t succeed in this business, having bought access to all their tools, it would be my fault.  I didn’t take offense because my upline was there to support me 100%.
Yep, I believed them.  Worse, others believed me when I gave them the same speech.  Sincerely, I believed in this system until my credit card maxed and I had no place to go.  My business stuttered.  My mentor’s advices, invest more money, and get your downline to do the same.  My business stuttered then died.
My quest began, surfing for answers, information and help that didn’t cost me a dime.  I believed there was a legitimate way to run a business from home using the Internet to reach out to prospects; I just had to weed through all the smoke.  Fool me once…and all that.
Months and months later finding teasers and tidbits of information, and yes I did download a couple of, “be all end all guru’s guide to success” for a fee, I am home!  I didn’t have to take a course, buy a cd, or a library of books, join a club, stand on my head or offer up my first born.  I found all the answers to all of my questions and how to apply this to any business I wanted.  It didn’t cost me one red cent!  Really!
The best part is I can share!  It’s Free Anyone can have the answers no matter what company or business you are in.
