  • Cold Calls Stink!

Posted on August 29th, 2009 in Self Development, Skills Training, Colors Training, Recent Posts by Carly

Let’s be blunt. Cold calling stinks! There has got to be a better way. I am glad to tell you
that there is a better way. It is learning personality types!

So what do personality types have to do with your success level?

How can understanding different personalities allow you to potentially see up to a
300% increase in your response rate?

This is a unique approach to helping you have success in contacting prospects.

Most people think it is all about having a great ability to close the deal, to make
that prospect yank out their wallet and buy right now.

This sounds good, but really misses a vital key to long term success.

What is the key to having long term success?

It first starts with understanding the type of business you are really promoting.
Many people believe it is all about having the best product or service.
Others think it is about having a fancy web site or a 20 page full color brochure.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

It’s not about what you are “selling”, but it is something so simple that most
    people will completely overlook it.

In fact, once you see and understand the simple principles, you will be amazed at
how you will be able to go from having to hear 100+ No’s every day to dealing with a
    high number of Yes’s.

If you are ready to discover what you are really promoting and to get the prospects
to enjoy your calling them, then go to the book on the upper left hand side of the page
    to begin your education!

    To Your Success,

You know in order to grow your network marketing business you need to do and have five simple things in place:

    1. Targeted lead generation

    2. Automated prospect follow-up

    3. One-on-one relationship building

    4. Sponsoring

    5. Training

If you don’t have a single system to perform all the functions listed above or if your MLM company or upline group does not provide you with a system(s) to accomplish these targets, You should know You absolutely have to set them up Yourself.  This could take months  to find the in’s and out’s and put this all together by Yourself.  It’s a lot easier to go someplace where they understand these MLM sponsoring secrets and already have an established, tested & proven system available for you.

Let me tell you a bit about another aspect of the sponsoring system that I use.

    Automated prospect follow-up.

The secret in network marketing is following up with people. It’s that simple.

People are busy. Our lives are busy.

    So what Can You Do?

Have an automated email system going out to these prospects.  And Unless Your an expert at copywriting, You need an email written by a professional copywriter who knows how to tweak the mind, that answers questions, and creates a relationship in print.

You want Your automated follow-up to create a relationship with ad copy.

It’s mandatory that You have a system in place to follow-up with people automatically, so You don’t have to do it.

    Because guess what?

You might be on vacation.  You may just be on a company-sponsored, company paid-for, week-long trip to Italy.  What happens if Your away?  What happens if Your unavailable? You know what happens.  Nothing, UNLESS you have a back up system in place.

You need an automated follow-up system.

Your lack of success is NOT Your fault.  Everything You need to reach Your goals, desires,  have success starts here with this free ebook.

What You Need to Grow Your Network Marketing Business

Posted on August 29th, 2009 in Marketing Tips, Skills Training, The 5 Pillars To Success, Recent Posts by Laurie

To grow your network marketing business You need to do and have five simple things in place.

    1. Targeted lead generation

    2. Automated prospect follow-up

    3. One-on-one relationship building

    4. Sponsoring and

    5. Training

It’s obvious if You have a single system to perform all these functions, so much the better. If Your MLM company or upline group does not provide system(s) to accomplish these targets, You absolutely have to set them up Yourself. But it’s a lot easier to go someplace where they understand these MLM sponsoring secrets and already have an established, tested and proven system.

Let me tell You a bit about one aspect of the sponsoring system I use.

    Targeted lead generation.

Let’s talk.  Ask Yourself this:  Why do You want to build the dream for somebody else? No good answer?

Ok, let’s try this:  How do You think You’re ever going to make somebody have a dream? If Your like most, You know You can’t make a person dream, You can’t make them have a desire, You can’t make them  successful.

So what should You do?  You  talk only to people who ALREADY have the dreams, the goals, and the desire to be successful.

If Your putting Yourself in the position where You have to convince somebody to get up off the couch, turn off the TV, quit watching the football game and drinking beer, Stop It!   Leave those people alone. They need to do that stuff. We need people in our lives and in this world who do that. It’s ok to let them do that.

ONLY talk to people who have the goals, dreams, desires. These are the warriors. These are the people who will build the business, no matter what. Target THOSE people. Then Your business will be fun & exciting. You’ll have massive duplication when You work with targeted people.

    How do You find them?

You want a lead generation system that brings You ONLY the most qualified people. A lead who is a reader is far more likely to have long-term Network Marketing success than most other leads You get. That is who You must target.

    How?

You promote a website that has only one objective: capture contact information. So when a visitor comes to Your site, their only options are signing up or leaving. And You do Your best to make them an offer they cannot refuse. I prefer to offer a great ebook because, again, Leaders are Readers.

You can learn more, be more, do more now by downloading this free ebook today.

    Thinking Impossible Thoughts Aren’t Possible?

Posted on August 25th, 2009 in Self Development, Critical Thiking, Mental Cleanse MasterMInd Sessions, Skills Training, Personal Development, Recent Posts by Laurie

Oops, while planning an email response I was distracted and clicked on an interesting link instead.  Where is my discipline?

But I’m glad I did, because this is very in keeping with Critical Thinking.  I happened on this interview with Jerry Wind and Colin Crook about their book, The Power of Impossible Thinking: Transform the Business of Your Life and the Life of Your Business.  Wind and Crook present their process for impossible thinking or thoughts.  The Four Minute Mile barrier is a perfect example of impossible thinking; Once that “barrier” of thought was replaced with the possible, then the Four Minute Mile was achieved by 16 other athletes.  The Impossible became possible.

I think most of us agree that the greatest obstacle in transforming our personal lives, society, or even business is our own thinking.  What we see and act upon is more a result of what is inside our heads than out in the world.  So how we approach life and make decisions is largely due to our own thoughts and how we perceive things.

Obviously I was intrigued by the interview, especially the “Mental Models” that is mentioned.  Visualization and Critical Thinking is a powerful tool once in the “imagination workshop” to develop plans, play out critical thought scenarios and obtain the best possible action to take in making decisions about anything!

The authors believe people have to obtain the skill of “making sense” with all the data available, in order to have the best outcome, in life, society and business.  Below are a few excerpts from this interview I think are quite thought provoking or should I say thought shifting?

“This process starts with the recognition of the power of “mental models” but then offers practical approaches to challenges…”

Crook sites the 9/11 Flight 93 as an example of Changing our thinking to create powerful opportunities for action.  Once the passengers on that flight stopped basing their cooperation (thinking) on past “hijacking” experiences, received additional information via cell phones of what was really happening, they shifted their thinking and were able to take heroic actions to stop the hyjackers plans.

Crook states, “the passengers first needed to change their hypothesis about what was going on.” He said that we are not just data driven but hypothesis driven.  He now looks at the underlying hypotheses in any situation and asks himself Critical Questions:

What do I think about this?

Do I have a hypothesis to make sense of it?

Have I examined this hypothesis or have I just looked quickly and said ‘I’ve been there and done that’ and just move on.

“Don’t rush to judgment and be much more mindful about the process. Once we know that the world is shaped and filtered by our own thinking, we recognize the need to constantly test our hypotheses against the world,” Crook states.

A few other points I found interesting:

    -       “To challenge Your thinking, You need to interact with diverse people and be able to see the potential wisdom of weird ideas.”

    -       “We need to keep an open mind and approach life as a series of experiments; observe the experiments happening around us and create new ones.

    -       Instead of accepting the world as we think it is, we need to keep testing it to find out what it is and what works.”

Wind gives a few examples of how malleable memory and perception can be.  One research studied people standing at an airport ticket counter.  The ticket agent drops something; ducks behind the counter and a different person jumps up and finishes the transaction.  Many of the people in line didn’t even notice the agent had changed.

Wind:  “We tune out big chunks of the environment.”

Another study asks their subjects to watch a video.  They are to count the number of times players with white shirts passed the basketball.  A person in a black gorilla costume walks into the center of the action, beats his chest and walks off.  Only 42% of the people saw that.

Wind:  “More than half the subjects were so engrossed in the task at hand that they couldn’t see the gorilla. An entire gorilla, right in front of their eyes! It is very sobering to think about. Our models and attention create blinders that limit what we see.”

What gorillas are moving through Your field of vision right now that You fail to see?

Crook: “We think we see the real world, but we actually see what’s already in our own minds. If we are not aware of the power of these internal models, we may just accept what we think we see as reality. This can be limiting, and sometimes even dangerous. We become very comfortable and dependent upon our current mental models.Changing them opens us up to great uncertainty and risk. Most people are risk averse, so we tend to stay with what we are comfortable with, even if it causes increasing problems.

The concept of How to Think Not What to Think isn’t new at Mentoring For Free.  It’s a constant work in progress, being aware of your thoughts, and how they affect the decisions you make, plan your day, how successful you will be in achieving your goals.  You don’t have to do this alone, in fact, if \You try You most likely will end up back in the comfortable mental zone.  If Your ready to stimulate Your life and business, become aware that all the Impossible Thoughts Your having are Really Possible, You can start by downloading this free ebook.  We’ll help you every step of the way, for Free.

Can You Believe Everything You Hear?

Posted on August 23rd, 2009 in Critical Thiking, Skills Training, Scams and Ripoffs, Recent Posts by Laurie

Recently I was reminded of the ever constant “rumor” that seems to touch us on all levels of life. It seems people are more willing to accept all they hear or are told as truth rather than step back and withhold judgment or a decision until they have all the facts.

This came about when my daughter calls me on my ride home from work and tells me that a young man we know lost his temper and in broad daylight and smashed another young mans windows out of his truck with a baseball bat.

She assured me this was true, had already accepted this as a fact because somebody told her so.

Later that day, my husband came home and told us all the same story; it was a bit larger now, police were involved, witnesses, and arrests were made, they had the culprit.

Learning to think things through as a critical thinker, I tried to clarify some facts not willing to accept yet that all was as it appeared; but both my husband and daughter were adamant, it was true.

In the mean time, my two younger daughters went to the local Festival in town. When they came back, they told me the supposed victims truck was fine, not one window broken or even cracked.

Now I still don’t know the whole story of how this rumor would rage across the town from my teenage daughter to my husband; but isn’t it amazing what people are so ready to believe, and how easily deceived they are based just on another persons words?

As a Network Marketer, I’m often approached by someone who wants to recruit me in their business. They tell me how successful they are, how much they make, that their business has the best compensation plan in the history of MLM, or some such scenario. I’ve learned to turn on the critical thought process - become a detective and investigate the claims they are asking me to accept.

There’s a women in Washington DC hounding politicians like a watch dog. She isn’t afraid to ask, question, and dig in investigating any politician who’s behavior seems to lack integrity.

What I appreciate the most about her story is she isn’t sitting back accepting the claims being made or believing all she hears as truth until she investigates. Her persistence in taking responsibility for her own beliefs, has led to the fall of some prominent government leaders.

Thinking it may offend someone to validate their statements? If the statements are true no harm no foul. Ultimately I’m responsible for what I believe; its up to me to put on the Detective Networking Hat and discover if I’m being given fact or fiction; rumor or truth. If you’d like help learning how to determine whether your being given the facts or not, start with this free ebook.

Trust is ..( or should be..) uncondtional

Posted on August 21st, 2009 in Critical Thiking, Personal Development, Inspirational & Motivational Video's and Quotes, Recent Posts by Sarah Thompson

    Hi Sarah here ,

Life is intriguing - my daughter is here recently arrived (less than 48 hours ago) from Sacramento. Late
last night we decided to go out for breakfast at Denny’s - we left the house at midnight and as is often
the case these special Mom - daughter moments are rare and to be treasured.

I do indeed treasure every minute I spend with her, She Carly, that’s my daughter moved out over
three years ago, during that time I have grown up and learned to take full responsibility for my life,m
a major force has been my Mentor AND his family have shown me (for the first time) unconditional love
    and trust.
As we were yakking a bit over a very early breakfast - I was listening to my daughter and realized she still
saw the old Mom - the one who almost trusted - She is 22 and was talking about checking out a few local
gathering spots - well she does not yet have her own car - so she immediately tried to convince me she would not
take nor expect to take my new candy apple red Ford Mustang out on her own .

I told her of course she could take our car - Trust is not something you give partially - like Love You either
    love or you don’t

You either trust or you don’t

Both are intended to be unconditional

Then as the Universe was trying to tell me something I received ]
this short story about trust again, Thanks Bill..

Once, a man named Joe and his little girl were crossing a
    wooden-bridge in Tarrytown, New York.

Joe was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter,
“Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don’t fall into the
    river.”

The little girl said, “No, Dad. You hold my hand.”

“What’s the difference?” Asked the puzzled father.

“There’s a big difference,” replied the little girl.

“If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that
I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure
that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go.”

In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but
    in its bond.

In the act of mentoring we have to put forth unconditional love for
all people, and believe in them until they can trust - We can help
you learn to trust again Click on the picture of the book on
the left side of this page - Start with reading Success in 10 Steps

    Thanks for reading
    much love
    Sarah & Carly

    Why Aren’t You Asking Why?

Posted on August 20th, 2009 in Critical Thiking, Self Development, Personal Development, Recent Posts by Laurie

What is the ONE question that will ALWAYS advance you toward THE answer?

    Why?

    Why aren’t You Successful?
Why isn’t Your Business Moving Forward?
Why isn’t Your upline available to answer your questions?

Why Aren’t You Testing your Company’s confidence and competence?  Before You accept their recommendations, policies and procedures, methods of operation, ask this one question until You’re satisfied with the answer.”  Why?

Years ago one my favorite comedians, Gilda Radner, lost her battle to ovarian cancer.  Gilda shared her unique sense of humor on stage, TV, and in the Movies; She made me laugh, and made a couple of one-liners famous to boot.

When she became ill, she naturally went to her doctor to get checked out.  That visit would be the first of many over the next 10 to 11 months before she was actually diagnosed correctly.

Gilda met with much opposition from family, friends and the doctors when she questioned each new diagnosis she was given; she was told she was over-reacting and she was supposed to accept and conform to the medical advice given her without question.

Gilda wrote her memoirs before leaving this earth.  If memory serves me, I read that she never gave up questioning the reason for her medical symptoms; the real cause of her illness was discovered.

    She Asked Why.

I’m reminded of another friend whom I greatly admire for her persistence in discovering a correct diagnosis for her young toddlers lack of speech.  She went through countless experts and countless different diagnosis.  She didn’t accept the prognosis and she continued to ask Why until she discovered how to help her son.

Eventually she found a professional who made sense to her.  Through simple sign language she was able to communicate and teach her son the words he couldn’t process.  The angry fits and frustration left the boy and he learned to speak the words taught him through sign language.  The young man is a genius in many areas and a fully functioning human being today.

So the question I’m putting out there is this:

    Why Aren’t You Asking Why?

If your not getting the answers to your Why, or any answers at all, Download this FREE Ebook and get real answers to all your questions.

The Secret to Successful Network Marketing Isn’t Knowing Everything

Posted on August 19th, 2009 in Critical Thiking, Self Development, Marketing Tips, Personal Development, Recent Posts by Laurie

What’s the Secret to successful Network Marketing if it isn’t knowing everything?

Most experts with experience in the Network Marketing industry know the value of having a group of masterminds on their team to shore up their “weaknesses.”

What?  Professional Network Marketers have weaknesses?

Ok, maybe it’s not easy to admit for some, but we all have weaknesses (I know mine, but I’ll save that for a later day!).  If You’re honest with Yourself, You’ll admit You’re not perfect.  But that’s OK.

Some of the most successful people in history recognized this fact early on and what did they do?  They surrounded themselves with “experts” in order to accomplish their goals and wealth.

    Don’t believe me?

Check out ANY successful entrepreneur in any industry and see if they didn’t have a “cabinet” of masterminds with a wealth of resources behind them to afford the entrepreneur the best opportunities for success.

Henry Ford, for example, had specialized knowledge when it came to the manufacture of automobiles, but he was, admittedly, not well educated.  He brought suit against a Chicago newspaper for calling him an “ignorant pacifist.” His response to a particularly offensive question:

“If I should really WANT to answer the foolish question you have just asked, or any of the other questions you have been asking me, let me remind you that I have a row of electric push-buttons on my desk, and by pushing the right button, I can summon to my aid men who can answer ANY questions I desire to ask concerning the business to which I am devoting most of my efforts.”

He went on to say, “Why should I clutter up my mind with general knowledge for the purpose of being able to answer questions, when I have men around me who can supply any knowledge I require?”

My mentor is always saying, “You are perfect just the way you are to do this business.” I used to sputter and go on about my lack of knowledge, lack of education in this field, the fact I had no experience, or know how.

Thank goodness I was ignored and was sponsored anyway!  I was given everything I lacked through the wonderful people on my team.  I am now part of a professional group of Experts with my Mentoring For Free Team.

Of course, joining a group of masterminds tends to rub off on a person and I’ve discovered a personal growth unmatched at any other time in my life.  I’ve also developed my strengths and feel grateful to offer help to others who need it.  As for my weaknesses, I work on them when I have time.

You could continue to struggle on alone in Your business, likely without the results You desire; OR You could save Yourself years of failure and frustration by downloading this FRE*E ebook crammed with valuable information You need to know to be successful.

Critial Thinking - Is It OK to Choose a Little Good News?

Posted on August 15th, 2009 in Critical Thiking, Self Development, Skills Training, Personal Development, Recent Posts by Laurie

Ann Murray wrote a song, “Little Good News” and the Refrain, “Sure could use a little good news today,” is resounding in my head today.  My sister and I talked briefly last night about the recent barrage of emails pouring puke in  her email box.

Many of the emails are offensive, off color, or just someone’s idea of a joke yet often contain filth and obscenities.  She wanted to know if I felt her request to family and friends to stop sending these offensive emails was justified.

Isn’t it funny people are more willing to pass along an offensive email without thinking to everyone in their address book; yet they really have to stop and contemplate who would be receptive to an uplifting, heart warming and just plain good old human interest story.

Learning and using my critical thought process, I applied what I‘d learned so far to her dilemma.   We weighed the consequences of her actions:

    1.  People who know and love You will respect the fact that You find this type of email offensive and stop sending it to You.

    2.  People who don’t care, will either continue sending smut, be offended You don’t find their humor “humorous” and fling their insecurities at You, or drop You as a friend altogether (I’d be thankful at this point).

    3.  Your enacting Your inalienable right to expose Yourself to that which brings pleasure and joy rather than negative and offensive emotions.

    4.  You stand up and hold strong to Your values and morals and wont allow others to tear down Your beliefs, self-confidence and love of Yourself.

    5.  Your agreeing to disagree without disrespecting others choices - choosing what’s right for You and knowing it’s not necessarily right for someone else.

I could not come up with any negative reactions in this critical thought process.

How many people accept situations in their lives, even though they may be offensive, due to fear of loss, or lack of self or lack of loving oneself?  Doesn’t everyone deserve respect and consideration?  Whose insecurities and fears and/or ignorance are You allowing to contaminate Your thoughts, values, and beliefs?

Who couldn’t use a “Little Good News” today?

I posted a story I’ve read before under the “Critical Thinkers” group in FB for anyone interested in a heart-warming human interest story.  If Your not, don’t read it, after all it’s Your Choice.

If You want to learn more about How to Think and not What to Think you can  Start with this F*REE ebook;  it just may bring a Little Good News to you today.
