MLM Leads - The Struggle

Do You want to be a successful entrepreneur in an mlm
opportunity?

One of the first things I ask a new client is, “What
are Your two biggest struggles working from home?”

The most common responses I hear are:

“Finding high-quality leads,”

“Getting prospects to sign-up,”

“Recruiting,”

“Downline team duplication.”

The answer to most of the above struggles is the
mind-set of the independent representatives - the
belief that they must become a heavy hitter superstar
to profit in this industry.

A heavy hitter superstar is a pushy, aggressive person
whose idea of motivation presentation is to preach at
their company’s convention or conference call that
distributors’ goals should be to be more like them.

The problem is, most people don’t like pushy,
aggressive salespeople and they don’t like to be sold.
Buying is okay, but at THEIR pace.

Mind-set:

Look at the terms my clients use above -
“leads, prospects, and recruiting”. Let’s talk about the
mind-set these terms reveal.

To “recruit” means to enlist someone in the armed
forces or to enroll someone as a member or worker in an
organization.

In contrast, let’s look at sponsoring. To “sponsor”
means to contribute to the cost of something, introduce
and support a proposal, or take responsibility for
another.

I ask You: would You rather be recruited or sponsored?

Let’s look at “leads” and “prospects”.

To “prospect” means to search for mineral deposits,
especially by means of drilling and excavation.

“Leads” implies sets of data regarding a potential
customer base or recruiting prospects.

I prefer to think of people as “clients”, or those who
use my services.

People:

If You’ve ever had a position in the real world
relating with people, then You know some things:

People are NOT numbers or commodities - they are real,
live, breathing persons who are loved by someone.

They are someone’s son, daughter, brother, sister,
mother, father, friend, spouse, etc.

A person with the wrong mind-set thinks, “What’s in it
for me?” They look at a person and think, “How can I
profit from this relationship?”

Someone with the correct mind-set thinks, “What’s in it
for THEM?” “What can I do to SERVE this person and HELP
improve his or her life?”

Which of these two mind-sets do You think would
encourage better downline duplication?

I learned these skills and solutions from the recorded
and live conference calls at Mentoring For Free, the
free network marketing and multi-level marketing
training organization.
