Seeing The 5 Pillars In Action

For three years I worked at a small town pizza restaurant. From the parking lot of the pizzeria I could see two Dunkin Donuts shops.

Since one of the donut shops was in the same plaza where I worked, the other across the street at a gas station, I naturally would go into the plaza shop.
This Donut Shop was run by several kids I knew in high school. Regardless of whether there was a line or not I found myself inevitably waiting for someone to come to the counter to help me.

The employees where always huddled in the back gossiping instead of tending to the business.

I noticed the tables inside where never clean and there was always trash around the waste basket, never in it.
If I looked I could see what I assumed to be everything the employees dropped that day on the floor as no one seemed inclined to pick it up.

Now every time I ordered coffee from this shop it was cold when it was suppose to be hot or flavored when I asked for regular.

Fed up with lazy people and bad service I started going to the one across the street.
As I walked in and saw an immediate difference; clean floors, stocked napkins, and someone was actually at the counter greeting me as I walked in.

These employees were on top of their game.

Along with the friendly people and atmosphere, my coffee was hot with the extra cream and sugar, exactly as I ordered it.

I gladly put my change in their already full tip jar instead of my wallet.

I wondered How could two Dunkin Donut Shops, so close in proximity with the same products, be so different?
Then I realized the one in my work plaza was not a 5 pillar Dunks. The one across the street was.

A franchise’s success depends on having all 5 pillars in place, regardless of location.
Your MLM or Network Marketing Company needs these too.

Up to the day I moved from this area I continued to visit the Dunks across the street, because I knew it would be a better experience and better coffee.

Having the 5 pillars in Your business insures not only customer satisfaction but employee satisfaction as well.
